Flood Warning Issued for Lakefront

A flood warning has been issued for the lakefront as the heavy winds we've been experiencing since yesterday afternoon have resulted in heavy waves on Lake Michigan reaching onto the lakefront path and wiping out runners and bicyclists. Police are out at Oak Street Beach to divert them away from the lakefront path until the waves calm.

NBC 5 has video of waves reaching the path and claiming a cyclist as collateral damage.
