Remember last week when it was all gray skies all the time? Good times. This week we have to deal with that terrible sun in the sky all say and no clouds. We wish Mother Nature would simply pick a theme and stick with it. Along with that yellow sun comes a temperature in the high 70s and light winds.

On this date in Chicago history in 1937, the Outer Drive Bridge opened, with President Franklin D. Roosevelt in attendance. 36,000 cars passed over the bridge in its first half-hour but the sharp right angles proved challenging to motorists and wasn't corrected until the S-curve was built in 1986.
