Your Morning Wake-Up Call for October 7, 2011
Looking at Skilling Central we have nearly a week more of the weather we've been enjoying. Yeah, take it away from us: we can't focus on anything with that devil sun in the sky. The mercury is once again expected to cross the 80 degree threshold, although the winds are going to pick up a bit. Still, unseasonably warm for today.
Speaking of heat, on this day 14 years ago City Council passed a resolution absolving Mrs. O'Leary's cow of any blame for the Great Chicago Fire. If you need to explain to out of towners why we look at local government with a cynical eye, that's a good jumping on point.
