La Madia's 4th Anniversary $4 Pizza Lunch

2011_10_13_La_Madia.jpgGot lunch plans for Monday? If not, try to keep those plans open. It's La Madia's fourth anniversary, and the River North thin-crust pizza palace announced that to celebrate the occasion, four of its favorite pies will be available for just $4 apiece during lunch service (11:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

La Madia is offering these amazing, sub-Domino's prices on some of the longest-running wood-oven pizzas on the menu. Here's the $4 lineup: triple pepperoni, tomato sauce and mozzarella, topped with truffle oil; taleggio and three-hour roasted grapes; three cheese (mozzarella, provolone and pecorino) with tomato sauce and torn basil; and housemade fennel sausage, sweet onions, tomato sauce and mozzarella. We loved that sausage-and-sweet-onion number - among others - back when we reviewed La Madia in '09, and the roasted grape pizza has saved us on many a long, cold day.

The $4 pizza deal is only available for dining in - no carry-out or delivery. But, hey, with the chilly realities of fall settling in these days, the notion of cozying up to La Madia's wood oven and savoring a few slices for cents on the dollar sounds about right.

La Madia is located at 59 West Grand Avenue.
