Neighborhood Tours

Chicago has one of the largest Polish populations - probably the largest - outside of Warsaw. The Northwest and Southwest sides are heavily influenced by Polish immigration. Tour three of the city's Polish-dominated neighborhoods Saturday with Chicago Neighborhood Tours. The tour starts at 10 a.m. in Avondale at St. Hyacinth Basilica and moves north to Old Irving and The Villa. Other attractions on the tour include Schurz High School and the plentiful Polish bakeries and delis along Milwaukee Avenue. (10 a.m. - 2 p.m. For more information click here.)

Film

The Chicago International Film Fest continues with a screening of local filmmaker Prashant Bhargava’s first feature film, Patang (The Kite) at AMC River East 2:20 p.m. today and 9:10 p.m. tomorrow. Bhargava will be in attendance to discuss the film.
