Morning Box Score: Blackhawks Down New Look Jets
Dustin Byfuglien and Andrew Ladd returned to the United Center for the first time since helping the Blackhawks win the 2010 Stanley Cup. The former Atlanta Thrashers and current Winnipeg Jets were non-factors on the ice last night, but Patrick Kane, Andrew Burnette, Dave Bolland and Marian Hossa all scored as the Hawks rallied to beatthe Jets. Kane had a three-point night, while Hossa scored the tie breaking goal in the second period.
Ray Emery made his season debut for the Hawks and preformed well, stopping 21 of 24 shots and all six power play shots on goal he faced. If the performances of Marty Turco and Crisobal Huet are a barometer, the backup goalie for the Hawks is often as important as the main man between the pipes.
