Your Morning Wake-Up Call for October 31, 2011
Happy Halloween, everyone. We've decorated Chicagoist headquarters to be at its most scary for when the trick or treaters come by this afternoon. Which means we haven't touched a thing. Give the kids jackets to wear as they're gathering candy; the high today is supposed to be in the low 50s with winds out of the west at 10-15 MPH.
The Century of Progress Exposition closed on this date in 1934. The second World's Fair to be held in Chicago, it attracted over 40 million visitors.
