The Blackhawks now have a three-game win streak thanks to Patrick Kane, who scored the only goal in the shootout period. Kane's performance has been one of the major reasons the Hawks have skated to an 8-2-2 record in the early goings of the season. Kane leads the team in points and assists, is second in goals scored and has a plus-6 +/- ratio. More important, Kane looks like he has something to prove on the ice and is on the verge of raising his game to another level. Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa also scored for the Hawks, while Corey Crawford stopped 41 of the 43 shots he faced.
The Blackhawks travel to Tampa tonight before returning home for a blood match with Vancouver Sunday.
