Happy Endings Website Showcases Fictional Chicago Food Truck

Wednesday is a television night here at Chicagoist's Bridgeport headquarters and we'll admit that Happy Endings, the ABC comedy airing after Modern Family, has grown on us. It's the Bizarro World version of Friends if the show was set in Chicago; Chandler was black; Joey was gay, fat and sloppy; and Ross owned a food truck.

That food truck, "Steak Me Home Tonight," has its own website with reviews of the truck's steak sandwiches, backstory, menu and now commercials. One shows owner Dave Rose (played by Zachary Knighton) freezing up in the finished product.

The other shows Dave in a looser commercial, talking about the roots of his love for Chicago street food, directed by his friend Max (Adam Pally) that's a better commercial, but makes no mention of the food served from Dave's truck.

A Steak Me Home Tonight twitter feed is also active. Look at this fake review and you'll see a mention for Evanston's Hummingbird Kitchen.
