Holiday Train Keeps A-Rollin'

The Chicago Transit Authority announced the 2011 holiday train schedule, so mark these dates if you want to hang out with Santa on a festive train and get some candy canes. Only the dates have been announced, but the holiday train usually runs 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends or 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.


  • Green Line - November 25, 26 & 30

  • Orange & Brown Lines - December 1, 2 & 3

  • Pink Line - December 7

  • Blue Line - December 8, 9 & 10

  • Red Line- December 14, 16, 17 & 20

  • Purple Line - December 15, 17 & 21

  • Yellow Line - December 22

    Joseph they say it's all covered by donations and volunteers. I don't think it's unconstitutional (the CTA is not a government organization) but I think it's in poor taste.

  • I see the CTA doesn't list how much this unconstitutional display is costing taxpayers, or if it's all covered by donations.
