Young the Giant
California indie rock band Young the Giant just announced a February show at Metro. The musicians formerly known as The Jakes recreated themselves in 2010 and released their self-titled debut Young the Giant in 2010. Check them out. We like the single "Cough Syrup." Walk the Moon opens. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, Nov. 19 at noon.
Metro, 3730 N. Clark St., Feb. 23, 6:30 p.m., $21, All Ages

The Naked and Famous
There was a week this summer when we listened to nothing but The Naked and Famous album Passive Me, Aggressive You. Why? Because we wanted some good synthy dance music with more salt than sugar. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m.
Vic Theatre, 3145 N. Sheffield, April 15, 7:30 p.m., All Ages

Drive-By Truckers, Dawes and Joe Pug
This show is part of the Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival we told you about earlier today. This show was just added to the line-up, and we dig the country sounds of these three acts. Tickets are on sale now.
Congress Theatre, 2135 N Milwaulkee, Jan. 28, $35, 17+

Nerdist
We already told you this week about Chris Hardwick taking the Nerdist podcast on the road. But here's a friendly reminder: The internet pre-sale is today, and regular tickets go on sale tomorrow.
