Mayor Rahm Emanuel's brother is writing a book -- no, not the one Jeremy Piven plays on television. That's Ari. The eldest, Dr. Zeke Emanuel is an oncologist and head of the bioethics department at the National Institutes of Health. He's just as successful, but not as flashy as the other two. Zeke is adding author to his list of achievements by writing a book about the Emanuel brothers' childhood. The New York Times writes:

“Growing up Emanuel,” to be published by Random House, will reveal stories of Mr. Emanuel’s parents, Benjamin and Marsha Emanuel, and describe “the free-wheeling, competitive, civic-minded, and over-achieving environment that his parents fostered,” his publisher said in a statement. “Emanuel casts new details on well-known episodes of his and his brothers’ early lives and reveals never before told stories of their growing up in Chicago.”

The Emanuels raised three very successful sons: a doctor, a politician and a Hollywood agent. Esquire named them among the most influential people of the 21st century. Zeke is too smart to reveal anything controversial about either of his brothers, so this won't be some kind of juicy tell-all. The Emanuels are a tight-knit family, too. Maybe the Emanuel parents would write a more interesting book: a parenting guide for people who want to turn their children's rage issues into successful careers.
