Butcher & Larder Gets the Art Film Treatment, and it Fits

By Chuck Sudo in Arts & Entertainment on Nov 22, 2011 4:15PM

We love The Butcher & Larder, although we don't shop there as often as we like. A local filmmaker, Sergio Salgado, created a web series called P&S (Practice and Space) that looks at individuals committed to a certain craft, filmed in their workspaces.

The first installment in Salgado's P&S series takes us inside Rob Levitt's Noble Square butcher shop. As impressive and eloquent as Levitt comes across explaining why he opened The Butcher & Larder, Salgado's film work and editing is equally impressive, giving the seven-minute short film a Sony Pictures Classics vibe that isn't out of place.

Well done.
