The Illini won the title game in the Cancun Challenge's Riviera Division thanks to Sam Maniscalo's 14 points. Illinois improved its all-time record against Illinois St. to 8-0.
Marc Brown led the Flames with 24 points as they held on to beat the Aces at the Pavilion.
