Public Memorial For Maggie Daley On Sunday

There will be a public wake for former First Lady Maggie Daley on Sunday at the Chicago Cultural Center. The wake is noon to 10 p.m. at Preston Bradley Hall, entering from Washington Street.

Daley passed away Thursday evening at the age of 68 after a 9-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Funeral mass for Daley will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Old St. Patrick’s Church. There will also be memorial books available at City Hall, Gallery 37 and the Chicago Cultural Center.

In lieu of flowers, the Daleys ask for contributions to the After School Matters Daley championed or to the Maggie Daley Center for Women’s Cancer Care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
