Friday Morning Diversion: Circus Monkeys
My father died of Lou Gehrig's Disease when I was five. One of my earliest memories is him taking me to see Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus at Chicago Stadium. I was three, maybe four and I can still picture and smell the scene backstage with the animals and performers getting ready for the show as if it was a recent occurrence.
With the circus having just left town, I was feeling nostalgic for some circus performances like this vintage clip of trained monkeys below. Enjoy.
