Toys For Tots Motorcycle Parade On Western Avenue Sunday

2011_12_03_tft.gif
The Toys for Tots motorcycle parade is Sunday morning, covering a 20-mile stretch of Western Avenue. This is good news if you like helping children and/or motorcycles. It's bad news if you want to drive down Western Avenue tomorrow.

The motorcycles are lining up at 83rd and Western at 9:30 a.m., and they'll be cruising north to Addison Street and the DeVry University parking lot. The bikes are all dressed up for the holidays during the 90-minute cruise. About 20,000 people participate. The bikes are broken into groups of 5,000 so traffic can cross Western Avenue. To donate to Toys for Tots, you can drop off a toy at the DeVry parking lot. The bikes will arrive there around 11 a.m. See the TFT website for guidelines on what to donate and toy drop-off locations.
