Morning Box Score: Blackhawks Comeback Falls Short

Phoenix 4, Blackhawks 3 (SO)

The Blackhawks started slow at the United Center last night, staking Phoenix to a 3-0 lead early in the second period before Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane rallied to tie the game. Both teams went scoreless in the third period and overtime. In the shootout, Radim Vrbata and Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored for the Coyotes while goalie Mike Smith stopped Toews and Marian Hossa to give Phoenix the win.
