• The latest food truck to hit the Chicago streets is the Schnitzel King, which Eater reports serves "Chicago style" schnitzel with sautéed peppers and onions, wiener schnitzel, pork schnitzel, Czech potato salad, and apricot and raspberry kolaczki. Track the truck via Twitter @kingschnitzel.

• Take a Zagat survey here, and you'll get a free 2012 Chicago Restaurants guide, which includes Milwaukee. The promotion ends January 16.

• Still haven't decided what to give for the holidays? We'd love to get a boxed set of BBQ sauces from Lillie's Q. The Bucktown restaurant is selling five different 16 ounce sauces, with either three ($30) or five ($45) to a box. Pick from Smoky (Memphis-style sweet sauce), Hot Smoky (Memphis-style hot and sweet sauce), Carolina (Western Carolina-style vinegar and tomato sauce), Carolina Gold (South Carolina-style vinegar and mustard sauce), and Ivory (Alabama-style vinegar and mayonnaise sauce with a pepper kick). You can buy them at the restaurant, or by calling 773-772-5500.
