Bears Might Give QB Start To Josh McCown

Lovie Smith might be passing over Caleb Hanie to give Josh McCown the start against the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Day. And why not? It's not like the Bears stood a chance at winning anyway.

It's probably because McCown did such a great job on Sunday when he went in to replace Hanie — he completed one whole pass... then threw an interception. We're actually not so sure that isn't better than Hanie. In the four games that Hanie has played this season, he has thrown nine interceptions. Then again, since 2007, McCown has completed two of eight passes.

It's all still up in the air, though. Smith himself has been dodging the question, and the Sun-Times jokes that Smith has to choose from three stooges. McCown himself says he has no idea what's going on, and as far as we can tell no one wants to talk to Hanie yet.
