An argument last night outside a Church's Chicken in Englewood escalated into gunfire inside the store, killing two and injuring five.

Surveillance camera footage from the store at 66th and Halsted showed the intended victim trying to avoid the gunman by running through a crowd of people in the store. Dead are two men in their 20s. A 16-year-old boy, 17-year-old boy, 51-year-old man and 58-year old man were injured in the shooting. No information was disclosed regarding the fifth man in the shooting.

Friends of the two teens injured in the shooting told the Sun-Times and Tribune that they were good kids who tried to avoid trouble. LaToia Brown, whose daughter once dated the 16-year-old, said she looked at him as her own son. “He would always come around and check on me to see how I am doing.”

Police told CBS Chicago they believe the argument between the gunman, who is still at large, and the intended victim appeared to be gang-related.
