Looking for something to do with the kids this weekend? Want to take advantage of the mild weather to head downtown? Then the Art Intsitute of Chicago has a family art-making class today and tomorrow that might be worth a look.

From 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. today and tomorrow, families can drop by the Art Institute's Ryan Education Center for a lesson in using decorative paper to make their own images of animals inspired by the exhibition Animals around the World: Picture Books by Steve Jenkins. It's a drop-in program, so registration isn't required.

As the Tick would say: fun... and educational.
