Around Town: Remembering Marshall Rosenthal

Today's gallery is dedicated to the memory of longtime Chicagoist Photos Flickr pool contributor Marshall Rosenthal, who passed away overnight. Mr. Rosenthal was a retired journalist whose work appeared in the Chicago Daily News, Chicago Reader, Chicago Seed, Rolling Stone and local TV news programs.

Oh my. Such a loss! I met Marshall at several lunch-hour Flickr meetups and he was always full of energy, smiles, etc. Rest in peace.

What a great tribute to a good friend, fellow photographer and all around nice guy. He was a frequent photowalk partner. Even during his illness, his camera was always beside him.
