Last Minute Plans: Chicken and Waffles Food Truck Pop-Up

Today, the Brown Bag Lunch Truck is off the streets. It's totally worth it, because tonight from 4-8 they are teaming up with Cupcakes for Courage to host a Chicken and Waffles pop-up dinner. If you love bacon, fried chicken and/or waffles, it'll be worth it to treck up north for a fix.

Cupcakes for Courage, a Food Truck we haven't profiled on Chicagoist yet, came out of a bake sale held to raise money for cancer treatment for one of the founders. The sale was so successful that it led to an entire food truck - a green, cupcake-filled beast roaming the streets dispensing goodness. They'll be providing the waffles for tonight's popup.

If you show up at 4019 N. Damen, you'll be able to get fried chicken, bacon waffles and maple syrup. Three wings and a waffle is $8, and if you call ahead you can get $1 off your bill.
