Today many people have the day off from work in observance of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King. While having the day off is nice, we should also remember the struggle Dr. King fought for during his lifetime.

Last year we ran these videos in separate posts. Today, we've put them all in one tidy post.

Leading off is Dr. King's Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech, set to music. You can read the full transcript here.

The second speech is Dr. King speaking to an assembly of the Local 1199 hospital employees in 1968. His speech is very pointed here, as he he criticizes the war in Vietnam and asks why government can't fight poverty and unemployment with the same zeal they fought Communism.

Here is Dr. King's final speech, given April 3, 1968, in support of the garbage workers strike in Memphis. He would be assassinated the next day
