Mayor Rahm Emanuel is hosting a town hall meeting on Facebook on Monday, his second one in a year. This one focuses on education, and the mayor's office is soliciting questions through its www.AskChicago.org website. So far more than 100 questions have been added to the list. Here are some highlights:

  • Why aren't you listening to parents?

  • Where's the research behind the ed policies you push?

  • How do you envision paying teachers for the longer school day?

  • Why are you skapegoating teachers?

Hmm... there seems to be a theme here. The Mayor's Office has proven itself to be quite tech savvy, joining Foursquare and launching a Google Plus account. The town hall forum is Monday, Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. The conversation will be available online via livestream.

  • I think there's a reason Chicago was the center of Al Capone's empire, and it probably hasn't changed..
