Ellen DeGeneres Challenges First Lady To A Push-Up Contest, With Predictable Results

2012_2_2_ellen_first_lade.jpg

Americans can be proud that we have a First Lady who packs some nice guns. Michelle Obama appeared on Ellen DeGeneres's show to promote her "Let's Move!" campaign. DeGeneres, as she often does on her show, lobs the softballs at the First Lady, asking her about her workout routine before asking Obama, "Do you think you can do more pushups than me?"

And suddenly the race was on. What's impressive about the video is the form both Obama and DeGeneres exhibit while doing their pushups. If Ellen didn't have to go to a commercial, it appears as though the two could have kept on going. Also, DeGeneres, citing her sore back and her being eight years older, conceded the contest to Obama.

I'm surprised Michelle Obama's pushups were so bad, it was like she was cheating.

That was awesome.  "Your 'back issues.'"  Girl can talk some smack.
  • Unkle_Bob
    Those were seriously lame push-ups.

That said, Ellen conceded not because she's older, but because, lets face it, you don't show up the first lady on national TV. You just don't!
