Time magazine has an exclusive look at the trailer to Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter on their website. Yes, Honest Abe was more than the man who wrote the Emancipation Proclamation, held the union together during the Civil War, and suspended habeas corpus.

The movie is based on Seth Grahame-Smith's novel of the same name, is produced by Tim Burton, directed by Timur Bekmambetov (he directed Wanted, the 2008 film with Angelina Jolie where they made bullets from a gun do surprising NASCAR-style turns) and stars Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell and Benjamin Walker as the axe-wielding Lincoln. Some of you may be wondering "who is Benjamin Walker?" He's probably best known as Meryl Streep's son-in-law.

The trailer has many of the stylistic hallmarks of a Burton production and looks stunning. We'll still hedge our bets on the actual film, however. In an oversaturated vampire market, we don't know if a film where the 16th President of the United States leading a Civil War charge to kill bloodsuckers will find a market dominated by the sexual repression of the Twilight saga.
