President Barack Obama is singing the blues. It's a good thing.

During a concert at the White House Tuesday evening, B.B. King and Chicago's own Buddy Guy convinced the president to join them in singing "Sweet Home Chicago." Having heard Obama's rendition of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" at The Apollo last month, Guy insisted Obama join him, saying, “You done started something. You gotta keep it up now.” King added, “You can do it!” Mick Jagger passed Obama the microphone, then clapped along.

Obama sounded a little flat on one note, but that's okay. It's still better than Mitt Romney's rendition of "Who Let The Dogs Out?", and it's not like we want Obama to quit his day job right now.

It does show potential for an epic post-presidency musical career, though. Bill Clinton better dust off his saxophone and join the band.

In Performance in the White House: Red, White and Blues will air on PBS on Feb. 27. The Washington Post has the full set-list, which includes performances by King, Guy, Jagger, Jeff Beck, Trombone Shorty, Shemekia Copeland, Susan Tedeschi, Keb Mo, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks and Gary Clark, Jr.
