Get A Sneak Peek At Virtue Cider At Slow Food Chicago's Annual Meeting

2012_2_23_slow_food_chicago.PNG Slow Food Chicago's annual meeting is from 2-4 p.m. this Sunday at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. They'll be discussing their plans for the coming year, especially as it relates to the bi-annual Terra Madre event in Italy.

But there's another reason you may wish to attend. The meeting will also serve as the setting for an exclusive, pre-release tasting of RedStreak cider from Virtue Cider, former Goose Island brewmaster Greg Hall's new project.

RedStreak is described as "a true, English-style draft cider" made from heirloom apples. Hall has been traveling the world learning all he can about cider production and getting his hands dirty at cideries practicing the craft of cider making. He's also a longtime Slow Food Chicago supporter and board member, and a two-time delegate to Terra Madre.

The meeting is free but, due to the demand and now the news that this will be a first chance to taste some of Virtue's cider, you'll need to RSVP here.
