The folks who created "A Very Potter Musical" have created a musical parody of Batman to be filmed at a theater in Chicago, then broadcast on YouTube. Rock opera "Holy Musical B@man" promises to entertaining and disturbing, much like their Potter adaptation. It apparently includes at least one song about his parents being killed.

After witnessing the murder of his parents, a young billionaire makes a solemn vow to dress up like a bat and wage a one man war on crime! But when this solitary savior realizes that "one" is the loneliest number to wage a war with, he'll set off on a musical adventure to rescue the city from the greatest super-villain of all time and find a super friend. So join us in celebrating/poking-fun-at everyone's second favorite superhero (right after Spider-man)!

Unfortunately the free tickets to the four performances at the Hoover-Leppen Theater in the Center on Halsted have already been given away via an online lottery. Have no fear, though. "Holy Musical B@man" will be available in full on YouTube in April 2012. Watch the trailer below.

The project is not related to DC Comics or Warner Bros., created just for the enjoyment of their fellow comic book fans, and given what films have done to butcher story-lines, that's damn good news. Read more about the project and watch "A Very Potter Musical" on StarKidPotter's YouTube channel.
