A 15-year-old from Chicago and a 16-year-old from Oak Park have been charged with the sexual assault and battery of a Highland Park girl outside the Congress Theater on New Year's Eve.
The girl was denied entry at the Congress, where DJ Rusko was playing, because she didn't have proper ID. She was later seen walking near the theater in the company of six men and was later discovered by people on the street beaten into a coma. Congress Theater security managed to detain three of the suspects.
Terrance Ford, 15, and Anwar Barbour, 16, were charged as adults with kidnapping, robbery and aggravated criminal sexual assault, and are expected in bond court this morning. The victim was sent home from the hospital in early January and was recovering quickly from her injuries.
