The Mercury Passed 80 Today

We had a feeling today's weather would be a record setter. But we had no idea how much.
The official temperature at O'Hare International Airport as of 3 p.m. was 81 degrees, shattering the previous record set in 1995. The record was eclipsed at 1:51 p.m., when the mercury reached 79 degrees.
