Newly acquired Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall is set to meet local media right now, and it's a certainty some of the questions will be about his involvement in an alleged incident at a New York City nightclub Sunday.

Christa Myles has accused Marshall of punching her in the face. The photo above is of Myles and her injuries. Myles told the New York Daily News she wants Marshall held accountable for his alleged actions.

Marshall has denied Myles' accusations and said he was trying to escape the Marquee nightclub after his wife was hit in the head with a bottle during a fight in the upstairs lounge. Marshall has a checkered history off the football field, to say the least. The Tribune put together a timeline of Marshall's transgressions, and the NFL has contacted the Bears about the incident.

Meanwhile, add Tribune reporter Brad Biggs to the list of pundits who believe Marshall's talent on the field outweigh his trouble off.

"There is no denying Marshall's massive talent. He's second in the NFL over the last five seasons with 474 receptions and at 6-foot-4, 230 pounds he's the kind of physical receiver the Bears have sought for, well, ever. He has the ability to dominate a drive, and he's the guy the ball will be going to on third-and-6 when the entire defense knows who is being targeted.

"Marshall is a huge weapon for Jay Cutler and offensive coordinator Mike Tice, but the Bears don't seem to believe he's a huge risk now that he joins his third team in four seasons."
