2012_04_07_dillpicklecoop.jpeg The Dill Pickle Food Co-op, a community-owned grocery store in Logan Square, is planning to expand, but needs to raise some funds for the project. Their plan? Throw the Dill Pickle Prom, which they promise will be “everything awesome about your prom with none of the lame stuff.”

Break out your glittery dresses and tuxes (or just dress up your skinny jeans) for the prom, which will be held May 12 at the Logan Square Auditorium. There will be music by Patsy Cline cover band the Weepin’ Willows and 8-piece soul, jazz, hip-hop ensemble Sidewalk Chalk, along with sets by DJ BStarr. There will also be raffles held all night with prizes from the Empty Bottle, Hubbard Street Dance, and other local businesses and art groups, and you can nosh on finger food from local artisans, including Paper Moon Pastry.

Tickets are $20 for co-op members and $25 for everyone else. Get tickets at the co-op or online here.
