Get out the white face paint and start practicing your best zombie shuffle, because this Saturday, the Empty Bottle will host Zombie Prom, a benefit for The Arts of Life.

Performing the event will be James Brown tribute band Get Up With the Get Downs and classic rock cover band Wild Blue Angel.

There’ll be opportunities to get your prom pictures taken, and you can even nominate yourself to be crowned Zombie Prom queen or king. Fundraiser guests also get free admission to Windy City Soul Club, which starts right after, so you can dance your undead ass off nonstop all night.

Proceeds from the prom will, of course, go to The Arts of Life, a local organization that provides developmentally disabled adults with an outlet for artistic expression. If zombies aren’t your thing, but you still want to support The Arts of Life, you can make a donation through the organizations’ website.

Zombie Prom is Saturday, April 14 at the Empty Bottle, 1035 N Western, 6-9 p.m., $15 singles or $25 couples
