Green City Market Spring Fling Kicks Off Outdoor Market

Outdoor farmers market season is upon us, and we're teeming with excitement over here. Bring on the heaps of fresh produce and save us from this regression back into winter, please!

Green City Market will hold their Spring Fling at A New Leaf on April 26, bringing together farmers, chefs and community members for an evening of food, cocktails, music and auctions to support the market's education programs.

Items up for auction will include: a day in the kitchen with Charlie Trotter followed by dinner for four at the Kitchen Table, Dinner at Rick Bayless' home for eight guests and dinner prepared in your home for eight guests by Kevin Hickey and William Moore of the Four Seasons. You can also enter a contest where you act as sous chef and help a Chicago chef by preparing a local and sustainable canapé "on the fly" for event attendees.

Prices are definitely high: $150 for a single ticket and $200 single ticket plus one entry for Sous Chef experience
