Dark Lord Day is a week away and the guidelines laid forth for this year's edition may make it a bit harder for the trading of beers that is one of the highlights of attending the event, since coolers will not be permitted.

But you can still trade beers before Dark Lord Day. Jake Melnick's Corner Tap is hosting "A Jake of All Trades," a beer trading event Wednesday, April 25, from 7-10 p.m. Beer traders can feel free to dust off some of their most prized beers they've been keeping for such an occasion. There's no cover, and there will be cheap eats available.

In addition to all of that, Chef Won Kim (the man behind the Brew Ha Ha homebrew tasting series) and Jessica Murphy of Girls Like Beer, Too! will be auctioning off vintage bottles of Dark Lord. Reservations to this are highly recommended. Call 312-266-0400.
