Hef and Playboy may have left for LA, but he left an important piece of history for us to remember him by: His little black book. The Chicago History Museum is putting the item on display Friday as part of its "Unexpected Chicago" exhibit.

Crain's writes:

Mr. Hefner, who now lives in California, left notes to himself identifying women he met and the impressions they left on him. "Everything from typical contact information to obscure observations to secret phone numbers and code words, for rendezvous, were recorded within its pages," the museum says.

The little piece of Playboy history was pulled out for the "Unexpected Chicago" exhibition, which features interesting and sometimes obscure items from the museum's 22 million items.

Ok, we just want to know if he's still taking notes.
