As noted White Sox fan Dmitry Samarov noted after Addison Reed earned the save in this game, things are going well when the White Sox leave 5 runs on the bases, starter Jose Quintana is ejected for not hitting a batter, and they still win. Quintana was ejected in the fourth inning by home plate umpire Mark Wegner for throwing at Ben Zobrist, when it looked more like Quintana let the ball get away from him. Wegner, who didn't issue warnings to either bench when AJ Pierzynski was hit by a pitch from Rays starter Alex Cobb earlier, frankly called a shitty game at the plate, and his ejection of Quintana and manager Robin Ventura led to this classic freakout from Hawk Harrelson.

Mind you, Wegner didn't have to issue warnings, but it has become common practice. Alexei Ramirez drove in two runs for the Sox, while Dayan Viciedo was 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI. Nate Jones, who pitched two innings in relief, earned the win as the White Sox extended their win streak to eight games and swept their second straight series against the Rays.
