Riot Fest Expands Line-up And Now We Know When Bands Are Playing!

2012_06_20_riot_fest.jpg We were already excited about this year’s Riot Fest, with its new carnival atmosphere, extensive lineup which includes plenty of punk rock legends like Iggy and the Stooges and the Descendents along with the added flavor of bands like The Jesus and Mary Chain and metal acts like Gwar, and reasonable price. Today, we got even more excited with the latest announcement of new acts for the three day fest coming this September.

In addition to an already impressive lineup, organizers have announced the second wave lineup, which includes Minus The Bear, Pegboy, Andrew W.K., and Hot Water Music. We expected to hear that Hot Water would end up on the show since they’re playing some of the other Riot Fests around the country and touring with the Gaslight Anthem, but delighted that Chuck Reagan and company will definitely share the stage. The addition of English punk legends The Adicts also sweetens the deal immensely.

In addition, fest organizers have released the full day-to-day schedule and are reporting that 2 and 3 day passes are nearly sold out. Single tickets are on sale today. Expect more band announcements to come in the next few weeks.

Check out the day-by-day schedule so far below.
