Here's Another Reason To Hate Skateboarders

Some intrepid skateboarders, who apparently were bored dodging traffic on Milwaukee avenue or weaving between Loop pedestrians, decided to pool their resources and buy inflatable rafts so they could paddle out to the breakers surrounding Navy Pier in order to skate on them. Things were going well for them until the Police Department's Marine Rescue Unit came by and hauled them back to shore. Yup, skateboarding the breakers isn't allowed. As skating videos go, we give them points for finding a unique place to skate, but this isn't Dogtown and Z-Boys.

Luckily they captured this little act of civil disobedience on video. Points for the sk8tr with the shoestring board cord.
