Six Videos We Want To See At The Cannes Of Cat Videos

Well this was overdue. The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Minn., is holding the first ever Internet Cat Video Film Festival on its Open Field on Aug. 30. It seems like for the last 10 years, every day on the internet was an Internet Cat Video Film Festival. So why have a festival?

Walker Open Field welcomes cat lovers (and challenges haters - c’mon, you know who you are) to openly release your cat-video-induced giggles and emotions that are otherwise muffled by computer screens and constrained by cubicles.

We can dig it. There are no categories listed, but we've seen enough awards shows to imagine what those might be. The turnout will sure have all the awards show heavy hitters like Meryl Streep Nyan Cat, Clint Eastwood Ninja Cat and Jack Nicholson Keyboard Cat Nominations are open now until July 30. Go submit your own, but only after you watch our suggestions below. Next up? The LOL-itzers.

Honorable Mention: Technically this is a "cat" video, but we're not sure it'd make the cut for the festival, no matter how size-ist that might be.
