White Sox 7, Boston 5

Red Sox fans have been cheering Kevin Youkilis like he was never traded to the White Sox last month. Youkilis broke Tuesday night's game wide open with a three-run home run in the fourth inning. It proved to be enough for Philip Humber to earn the win in his first start since returning from the DL. Humber allowed two first inning runs but settled down after and pitched six strong innings to earn his fourth win of the season. But Youkilis and his return to Fenway in pale hose has been the dominating story of this series. He worked a 3-2 count from Jon Lester in the fourth inning before launching a hanging sinker over the Green Monster. Youkilis now has four home runs and 18 RBIs in a White Sox uniform.

Miami 9, Cubs 5

Carlos Lee once again was a Cubs killer. the newest Marlin with Chicago connections hit a grand slam off of Travis Wood, while Omar Infante tagged Wood with a two-run dinger, as Miami withstood a late Cubs rally. Wood allowed eight runs on eight hits in 4-2/3 innings, tying his career high in runs allowed. He had only allowed three runs in his previous four starts. Jeff Baker homered for the Cubs, and he and Luis Valbuena each drove in two runs.
