BBU Explore "Outlaw Culture" In Incendiary New Video

Chicago's hip-hop tide has risen to its arguable cultural apex in 2012, with rising rappers like Chief Keef, King L, Lil Reese and Sasha Go Hard garnering lots of digital ink from both local blogs and national web-zines alike. But that tide hasn't necessarily lifted all boats, as the emcees BBU really haven't given their due in the press with the same praise as their hype-heavy colleagues.

This is especially a shame, as their February-released bell hooks mixtape is one of the year's best local efforts, a funky tour-de-force that shows political radicalism and fun, booty-blasting beats aren't mutually exclusive.

Our friends at Ruby Hornet premiered BBU's new video for "Outlaw Culture" yesterday, and the bare-bones clip demonstrates the rap group at their incendiary best--a sonic stew suggesting Prodigy's "Firestarter" by way of The Bomb Squad. Watch it below:
