SZI-000 Mazes & Blue Ribbon Glee Club - "Peace Can Do No Wrong" from Sanzimat on Vimeo.

Ahead of this Monday's free show at the Empty Bottle, check out Mazes's new video for its song "Peace Can Do No Wrong," from the 1900s offshoot's upcoming record Mazes Blazes. Like Edward Anderson and Caroline Donovan's main gig, Mazes have luscious vocal harmonies, and "Peace Can Do No Wrong" is no exception.

Only for this song, Mazes get a huge vocal assist from local punk a capella group Blue Ribbon Glee Club. Those harmonies, combined with a motorik chug and psychedelic fuzz, make "Peace Can Do No Wrong" sound like NEU, ELO, and Deerhunter raising a pop song baby in an art-rock commune. Listen for yourself below, or check out the video for the song, which has kind-of a Replacements "Bastards of Young"-thing going for it, at the top.

Order Mazes Blazes here, and it'll ship in September.
