Even if you know your Americano from your macchiato, chances are your coffee snob friends still snub your ignorance of beans and brew temperature. If you’re looking for an attitude-free intro to Chicago’s specialty coffee scene, Caffentures is hosting its second Blue Line Coffee Crawl on August 25.

Each “caffeinated adventure” invites java lovers of all experience levels to explore three specialty coffee shops. Rather than getting overly-jazzed chugging full-size brews, each tour stop features a tasting flight of three coffees. The pros at each coffee shop will present a sensory-based mini workshop examining variations in brew, leaving you educated and caffeinated.

The next Blue Line Coffee Crawl will be held Saturday, August 25 at 9 a.m. with stops at Ipsento Coffee, Buzz: Killer Espresso, and Caffé Streets. Admission is $30 per person and includes drink samples and tasting notecards. Tickets are available until 48 hours before the event.
