Richard Levy of Victory park Capital Advisors, which bought Giordano's last year after the company filed for bankruptcy protection, told ESPN Chicago:

"The pizza business is a cash flow machine; we just have to make it grow."

Levy discovered that Rose was a fan of the deep dish pizza giant through talks with Rose's agent, former Bulls guard B.J. Armstrong. Rose will also become a spokesman for the franchise, will help promote the restaurant's revamped menu, and will make personal appearances at Chicago-area locations.
