2012_9_26_deathsdoor.jpg Judging from the number of leg and arm warmers we've come across on our recent bike rides, warm weather biking is over (for now). But while many cyclists are bringing their rides into bike shops across the city for tuneups, others are adding an extra layer to their bodies and carrying on as if there isn't a care in the world.

Death's Door Spirits is embracing navigating two wheels in autumn with a "Will Bike for Booze" ride Oct. 13. The ride begins at Three Aces (1321 W. Taylor St.) and will wind its way 12 miles through the city's streets for a 12-mile ride that ends 4 p.m. at Boiler Room (2210 N. California Ave.). Twelve miles is a ride long enough for all levels of cyclist and drunkard.

The $10 cost to participate in the ride includes a Death's Door T-shirt, a "Will Bike for Booze" water bottle and Patch, and a complimentary Death's Door cocktail at Boiler Room.

This ride is limited to 40 people, so if you want to take part, email here to RSVP.
