IL Politician On Obamacare: "What The Blank Could Possibly Go Wrong?"

By Samantha Abernethy in News on Oct 3, 2012 10:10PM

2012_10_3_bellar.png Illinois Republican state senate candidate Dr. Barbara Bellar gave a speech with a scathing condemnation of the Obama administration's healthcare program in which she says the surgeon general is obese and the president is a smoker.

Bellar detailed her issues with Obamacare at a Women for Romney/Ryan event, and then she punctuates her remarks by saying, "What the blank could possibly go wrong?" Bellar is a candidate for the state senate's 18th district in the Chicago suburbs, and she clearly has a cheeky sense of humor. The former Army major and nun's slogan is "There's NUN better," and the poster features a ruler.

The Bellar video has more than 2 million views now. “I had no idea I was being videotaped,” Bellar told FoxNews.com. “I meant it as a light opener to a more serious issue. It did take on a life of its own."

Here is the full text of what Bellar said. The video is below.

So let me get this straight. This is a long sentence. We are going to be gifted with a healthcare plan that we are forced to purchase, and fined if we don't, which reportedly covers 10 million more people without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman doesn't understand it, passed by Congress, that didn't read it, but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese and financed by a country that is broke. So what the blank could possibly go wrong?
